A Village With Deep Roots
Washingtonville grew up along Moodna Creek, whose fertile banks drew early farms and mills, and the village later became a local dairying center with creameries and markets. Today it's best known as the home of Brotherhood Winery, which has produced wine every year since 1839 and is widely called the oldest continuously operating winery in the United States.
That history shows in the housing. Homes near the village center tend to be older, with the tighter stairways and doorways that come with age, while newer neighborhoods spread out across Blooming Grove. We plan each move around the specific house, not a generic checklist.
